The Arctic Tracker project isnt dead. It has just been “resting” for a while (sorry, we have been busy with many things). However, a second version is underway, based on the ESP-32 module and experiences from the first round. I will describe this in the next post.
It is some time ago now, but here are some pictures of the resulting tracker prototype (based on a Teensy 3.1 and an ESP-8266). It worked, it had a display, but the PA module didn’t work as expected. Probably due to instabilities and feedback through the antenna switching network. In the new design this is fixed.
Stay tuned..
Tuned in! Looking forward to seeing more of this project
